About Us
MD foundation is a non-profit organization based in Brentwood, CA. Our goal is to feed the hungry and provide nutrition to infants and women around the world by providing clean drinking water and milk.
MD foundation supports the following causes:
- Food pantry in Brentwood, CA to ensure no one in the community goes hungry.
- Langar in Lahore, Pakistan offering free cooked meals to the hungry.
- Kids nutrition center in Lahore.
Our Story
It all started with a freezer to store Qurbani meat for the community and a very modest food pantry at the local Brentwood masjid and it grew from there. Local community and family members donated the funds to expand the pantry services and provide food for the hungry.
MD Foundation’s inception is inspired by the founding member’s mother who helped support the locals in the village of Niazbeg Thokar in Lahore where she lived by helping kids learn to read and write and taught women how to sew and stitch clothes. She also provided money and food to those in need. Foundation is dedicated to feed the hungry via the pantry and langar, provide kids and women with milk, clean water and eggs.
